We were in the North Rehabilitation Wing for 5 weeks. We had great care from the nurses, PT department, OT department and aides. Facility was cleaned frequently. Saw someone from activities daily. Dietary came daily and suggested multiple meal options. We choose to have Elderwood do laundry and it was done in a timely fashion. They arranged for wheelchair transportation to off site doctor’s appointment. Also saved us a trip back to doctor’s office by performing procedure at Elderwood as they are also a skilled nurs…

Our experience with Elderwood at Lockport is OK. It's just really outdated and they're short-staffed, so I feel like it's hard for them to give the residents the attention that they need, but again it's OK. It's probably as best as we're going to get. Overall, the staff is OK. Initially, I wasn't too happy, but there was one nurse there that I liked that seemed to be trying to take care of my mom. The rooms are very old and small because she is sharing a room. It's very outda…

My father has been at Elderwood at Lockport for a few days now. It's a very nice community. The staff is very knowledgeable and very attentive. The place is very clean. No problems. They offer a lot of activities like bingo, and arts and crafts. They'll have a little football get-together. The structure of the building is nice. But the only thing is that it has been added on, and added on, so it's kind of like a maze. You have to go around different quarters to go where you want to go.
