My mother is in EverTrue Meramec Bluffs in Ballwin. She was in independent living for 10 years, and I would say the facility is set up to take you through your whole end of life. They have townhomes and apartments. It's a whole community set up that way and not just a nursing home for the end of life. It's a large community with a chapel, as it's a faith-driven community. She shares space with one other patient, but they have separate rooms and a shared bathroom, so they don't see each other and…

We moved to Meramec Bluffs. The apartments are pretty nice and the facility is nice. It's kind of off the road. There's not a lot of traffic or anything. They have various levels including memory care and assisted living. The staff members seem capable and friendly. The food is pretty good. The only problem we have is that my wife is on a plant-based diet and I worry about her getting enough protein. For me, I think the food is OK. They have a formal dining area and an informal dining area, and that works…

Meramec Bluffs seemed clean and homey, but that's just a simple walkthrough tour. I didn't like it well enough to put my mother in there. There was no one at the front desk when I even got there and I had already made an appointment. They seemed to have many amenities. They had a gym. They had the bus to take them places. They had a nice, beautiful outside area. It seemed very clean and updated.

Meramec Bluffs was very well-maintained. They had friendly people. There were large open areas and lots of services available just inside the building. Transportation sounded good. The green space looked good as well. The staff was very attentive and seemed like they were happy to be there. The facility is beautiful and well run. These people are very competent and when faced with a problem, will try so hard to find a solution. The community is warm and welcoming, so important after undergoing the stressful experience of a major life style change and move.

I refer to Meramec Bluffs-Lutheran Senior Services as a campus, but the building and everything were just absolutely beautiful. They had walking trails that overlooked the river. The environment inside the facility was just outstanding; it felt more like a resort than it felt like assisted living.
