Forwood struck me from the beginning as a place that exuded warmth and hospitality and I immediately felt at home here. All the places were fine. I'm sure I would be happy to some degree in any of them but some just didn't seem to gel with my own personality as much as this place did. It's a little hard to explain what I mean by that, but especially I can do. And I must say, I LOVE iit here! The room is so spacious. I feel like I'm in a palace of my own. There was a lack of information when mom moved in, no welcome package with useful info. We only knew certain things because of a friend whose mom lives there. The were without a director at that point but hired one since. I hope she helps the move in process. The apt is a good size and the facility is very clean. The cleaning lady for mom is very nice and does a good job.

Her apartment was huge for this type of senior living, with a huge kitchen. There was a walk-out patio door which made everything about access easier. We had some confusion about the promotional rate pricing, I think they could be much clearer about that. I did get assistance and a concession from the Director about the pricing which was helpful. The staff was friendly and kind. And the common areas were very well maintained.

Transportation is an issue. The only have one driver. And shot the bus transportation service ends at 4 o'clock. There is no transportation on the weekend. It is a nice facility overall. In a good location. The staff seem to be very friendly and very nice. Very accommodating to the unique needs or concerns of aging population.

My step father thought that the food was poor However, they were all very helpful, especially during the settling in phase. Would absolutely recommend Forwood Manor.
