CriticalCharming place. Good food choices. Menu changes daily. Small portions but just enough. If you are hungry ask for more. Good mix of couples as well as single folk. Lots of men , more than normally find. Everyone friendly. Not very conducive to group activities. Exercise room severely lacking. Great puzzles & library if that's your thing. Needs complete updating of apartments. Feels like a hunting lodge

PositiveGarden Plaza staff are all professional and very knowledgeable and friendly. I was helping my mother to find an independent senior living community, I previewed several places on her behalf, Garden Plaza easily made the top 3 list. My mother visited the 3 different places and Garden Plaza was immediately her top choice. She is very happy with her apartment, food, staff, activities and has made new friends among the residents.

CriticalWe are in the bridge at Valley View. The building is old and repairs are frequent (ie: 2 broken water pipes In 2 months time). The staff is very caring and pleasant. The food is high fat, high carb with low protein. The portions are very small and some items are watered to stretch, yet Kitchen help takes a meal home, at the end of their shift. Promises made about dietary needs are not met. Very few activities on the assisted side.

PositiveLooks like a mountain lodge. Lots of couples and wide range of ages. Many people well into nineties and doing quite well. People are very friendly, not cliquish. Food is excellent. Wide variety. Daily salad bar. Always has an extra meal selection. It’s an older place that they are slowly modernizing. Staff is great. Has assisted living facilities as well.

PositiveGarden Plaza of Valley View was very clean. It was a fine upscale location. You have a kitchenette, but the kitchenette is not a hot plate, but there's a microwave and a refrigerator. The unit we looked at was a one-bedroom with a sitting room adjacent to it, and what we're looking for my parents, is a little more room. The staff who gave the tour was very knowledgeable.
