CriticalDo not allow your loved one to live here!!! My parents lived there until Hurricane Irma hit and they lost their apt. A large portion of the property floods repeatedly during hurricanes, which is a KNOWN issue. The “Christians” who run this organization do not mention this information when they rent to these poor old souls. When Shingle Creek floods, the water treatment facility then floods, and raw sewerage backs up through toilets into residents homes. Next comes the contaminated flood waters. Finally the GSS info…

CriticalMy mom lived there for 10 years, she passed we cleaned the apartment at great expense, 2 weeks after we turned in the keys and notified them, they charged her account rent, rather then returning it to the account they issued a refund to the estate, there is no estate, yes we should have planned better but we planned on no estate, but when asking for help and just reversing the charge to the account, they said, call and lawyer and sue us, good luck. So much for the Lutheran christian mentality and sympathy, they wor…

PositiveI would emphasize the value because it is a non- profit. Compared to other for-profit facilities that are competing for new residents, anyone who is on a budget could not do better than Good Samaritan. The amount of square footage in the apartments is double what we found for at other places that were roughly the same or more money. It is bigger apartments for a lower price. I would recommend them to others looking.

PositiveI thought Good Samaritan was a nice facility, although it was somewhat older. We didn't really see residents around to stop and talk to while we were on the tour. One concern for us was the activities center where some of the activities take place is at a distance. So instead of being right there at the facility, residents would have to get on a golf cart or drive to the activities center.

CriticalWorst staff ever. Never lifted a finger to help facilitate a 96 year old, wheel chair bound woman. Literally tossed her aside like she didn't matter. Never gave advice to help find a facility for her and the kicker, she is on MedicAid and MedicCare with supplementary insurance! They said she couldn't afford it, turns out...if they had done their job they would have received every cent! It's obvious that they are lazy and uncaring. DO NOT EVER APPROACH THIS FACILITY UNLESS YOU HAVE $$'s to pay.
