Harbor View Assisted Living

We liked the tour of this community and the environment. The staff members were able to assist us in the questions we had. The enrichment is nice and the community offers activities that are helpful to the residents. We would recommend this community for the care of a loved one.

Care for mom and dad

The care at this community is nice is very good. We liked all the staff members very attentive to the needs for both my parents. The menu was appealing. I was happy to know that they were offer to do the nice activiites that were available when they were there. This is a nice environment. We would recommend the care and the value to other families for their loved ones.

I visited this facility

We visited Harbor View and saw two rooms. One was a show room and one was an actual room, but they were very similar to the ones at the other place that we saw. You could have a small refrigerator there. They were a nice size with one bedroom and a bathroom. I did not have an appointment or anything, but the girl took the time, dropped what she was doing, answered all of my questions, and gave me a quick tour. She seemed really outgoing; even if a person was shy, I could see her getting people involved. She had a b…

Recommended! My mom loves it!

My mother is a current resident at Harbor View and she loves it there. The facility is very clean and the food is all homemade. They even will make something that is not on the menu if my mom doesn't like the posted meal. The staff pay attention to her and always make sure she takes her pills when she is supposed to. They also encourage her to go to the activities, especially bingo. With her starting to show signs of dementia I do not know what I would do if she was without their care. Thank you Harbor View!

NOT WORTH ONE STAR

New company the Ensign Group took over ownership and management a year ago. Facility is run down and never really clean. Revolving door of administrators and caregivers with six administrators in two years. Food is awful most days and only good on days the part time cook prepares meals. Residents are not getting what they pay for. We had a family member with dementia living there, and she was not getting anything to eat. Because of her dementia, she did not know to go to the dining room, and the caregivers did not …
