some admin communication issues

The care aides have been great! They seem to be caring & kind. The food is pretty good in dining room. We have not had concerns about cleanliness of the facility. What we have had difficulty with is communication with administrators. It started having difficulty clearing up billing issues and then care coordination administrator not responding at all to multiple phone messages & emails. A return phone call finally received about 7 weeks after initial outreach to get clarification on care level & needs for Mom.

The room apartment size is great and they have a new crew working on the food. Everyone from the food service, aides, and front desk are very friendly. The medical Dr [name removed], NP [name removed] and their nurse [name removed] are exceptional. At times there is a lack in staffing, however I believe they are working on that. My loved ones laundry is brought back folded and her room is cleaned well once a week.

Our families experience

All 5 so far. Staff cares more than the past 3 SNF/AL facilities we experienced. Activities are excellent and residents are encouraged to participate rather than spend time in rooms. Staff to resident ratio is very good. Food is excellent compared to other facilities. Looming organizational changes is our only main concern at this point as they reportedly consider using Med Techs to replace nurses.

Heritage Crossing is beautiful and smells good. The response time from the director [name removed] has been incredible. [name removed] also worked with us on timing and helped us with all questions we asked and we had a lot. The communication from [name removed] after she assessed mom was quick and she had a plan specifically for her needs prior to moving in. They treat you like an individual and really listen.

After carefully reviewing 23 facilities, talking with 16 of them and touring 6 facilities, Heritage Crossing was on our list of top 2 facilities due to staff to patient ratios, medical capabilities, resident activities, cleanliness and excellent nutrition offered. Transparency with finances and overall value put Heritage in the top spot. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly, even when our tour guide left the room for a few minutes. Overall a great place

The nurses, care partners and activities team are really awesome. Super helpful and communicative. The administrative staff has been in constant rotation. No consistency, poor communication. In the last year they switched some admin tasks to the regional office which has helped but no executive leader for many months. Communication from corporate is very unclear.
