CriticalMy experience was not positive. I had an unusual situation that took 4 months to clear up and then only with the management companies help.

CriticalA real bait and switch. They act like they are very caring and wonderful. Offer an amazing "new resident" deal and very quick to take your money, high pressure, just a little more than discussed verbally, with some excuse ready explain it away. Then, when your loved one gets cold feet over night and changes her mind (because this is a scary decision) and you notify them first thing the next morning, they keep your money. PositiveMom's one bedroom apartment was entirely newly refinished when she moved in. It has a great view, brand new wall heat and AC unit, walk in shower, extra padding under new carpet. Small but functional kitchen w/out stove. It comes with weekly cleaning, all meals, and includes utilities as well as cable TV. The people who work there are always friendly and so are the various other residents that I have met. It was easy for mom to make new friends and she seems really happy about her choice to move there. The only i…

PositiveBeginning in 2017 I toured Sheldon Oaks to see if it would meet my 90 mother's needs. At that time I was looking for a comfortable, inclusive residence for her to enjoy. Sheldon Oaks met her needs and when she arrived from California she approved of my choice. Over the 9 year span of time, Sheldon Oaks was her home. During the 9 years, mom met and enjoyed the luxury lifestyle Sheldon Oaks offered. Management at Sheldon Oaks was typically professional and hospitable. The current management team is a great examp…

PositiveThe staff does an outstanding job helping and assisting residents and their families when unexpected issues arise.
★★★★★
CriticalThe facility was very clean and well kept. My experience was that the staff was very friendly. They knew names of the residence and greeted them in the hallways. I did not become a resident But my brief experience was that the staff really enjoyed their job. The cost is very competitive with the marketplace. The location is really good, close to a swimming pool, shopping, good area for walking and very close to a Dairy Queen.
