Kindred Place at Harrisburg was very nice. The people were wonderful. The rooms were just too small for my furniture. I'm a United Church of Christ, so that was the reason I wanted to go there.

Nothing was negative for me. The staff and the residents top notch. The reason for moving my Mother had to do with her downward spiral into dementia and my family felt she needed more 1 on 1 care. However, we would definitely recommend this community to other families, it is a wonderful place for people who are independent and want to socialize.

It really is difficult to put a price on a place that gives such care to your loved one. For an individual that wants their own Independence in a protective environment you can't beat the cost. I selected Kindred Place because it was closer to her friends , family and church. Also, it allowed her to cook her own meals since she is a finicky eater. My father was at Kindred Place at Harrisburg. It's a ten in my book. That's pretty much independent living. That place is amazing. If he could stay at Kindred, he would stay there. The staff, the facility, everything was amazing there, but because my dad needs more care, we have to move him. My dad loved the food. The nurses, the activities, I can't say anything bad about them.
