PositiveSo far it seems like a really nice play. She's really enjoying it and making friends. I would recommend this community to others who are currently searching for one.

CriticalFood, or lack of, is a problem. No consistency. Amount of food is a problem. Little. Exercise equipment is locked up. Problem people are allowed to stay. No accountability here at all. State doesnt see day to day services.

PositiveI toured Knollwood Retirement Center. It was a very nice community. It seemed like some of the residents did like lingering out in a little entrance area, and just wandered around a little bit more than what my mom would be comfortable with, but other than that it was a very nice place. Everything was nice. The gentleman who gave me the tour was very kind. He's very busy because they seem to be a little understaffed. PositiveI looked at Knollwood Retirement Center. It looked nice and well-maintained. Bryce, the tour person, was very accommodating. Guests are only allowed to be in a small dining room next to the main dining area, and only residents are allowed to go into the dining area. They gave us food from their kitchen. They offer two main courses per meal. The food was edible; it wasn't super great. They offer some daily activities, too. There's an activity room, a fitness room, and a room with a whirlpool.

PositiveKnollwood Retirement Center was the one I would prefer just because it's close to my house. It's also newer and bigger, and they are opening memory care. They don't have it ready yet. The staff during the tour was good. It's very well-kept. Everything was clean. It's pretty new. They take them out for shopping days. They have things to do. There's a pool table, card games, and events every night. I saw the wing that they were turning into memory care. We're kind of on this waiting…

PositiveI haven't eaten the meals, so it would not be fair to critique what I haven't experienced. Overall, things have been great for my loved one at this facility. I would recommend the facility to family and friends.
