The right place for your loved one

What we really like about this community is that the staff are always keeping an eye on our loved ones condition and they genuinely love our loved one which we felt she did receive. We would absolutely recommend Kokomo Place to other families looking for a community for their loved ones

Poor follow through

Their local administrator and corporate said they would refund unused money that was paid one month in advance, for a senior apartment, but they have yet to do so. I have made several calls, and the administrator has promised three times to get back with me after she follows up with corporate, but she has never done so. Now, every time I call to speak with her, she is always in a meeting, or not available to talk to me, and the staff does not follow through with putting me in to her voicemail. A Nice Place

So far the staff have been easy to work with. The activities are very good. They've been good about working with us to get the apartment straightened around. And the care has been pretty good. Although they have some interesting practices - for instance, having three CNAs come to get our loved one ready for bed when usually only one is doing anything and the others are just standing there.

We toured Kokomo Place and it was fine. The only reason my mom did not move here, is because her space in the community we chose was larger.

Reasonably satisfied

We went with Kokomo Place because the initial visit was good, the explanation and anticipation and the fact that they are pet friendly and my dad has a dog. His dog is now part of the community and everyone loves her. They have been very cooperative and accommodating and are keeping him at a reasonable level of care. The food is pretty boring to him, he said that it seems bland and it is not very nutritious so they could improve in that area. Overall they have done a good job and I would recommend them to others.

Great tour but they didn't have a memory care unit like we needed.
