CriticalBad experience- look elsewhere this is a poorly run business. It’s all about the money not about the safety of the seniors. Recently CDSS posted 2/2026 LaMarea hired an employee and allowed them to work with the senior residents and LaMarea ignored the fact that the new hire did not have a criminal background check clearance and allowed them to assist the seniors. Shame on you LaMarea to put our seniors in danger.

CriticalEvery review on the main website is from a marketing person in the industry. (That’s sad). The reviews had nothing to do with the service to senior’s family member. I don't see many reviews from an adult child or any constructive criticism- which is strange. It is sad that it is all about celebrating the 'dream' (facade) but not about the people the seniors who live there. The high google rating is a lie - look at the turn over of staff- not just caregivers but admin, culinary and marketing. Don't buy into the glit…

PositiveLa Marea was a wonderful place to welcome, my dear friend, who was in need of assisted living. Unfortunately, he was unable to stay in assisted living and had to be moved to memory care. It was a difficult transition for him, but he became comfortable and happy with the wonderful caregivers who lovingly looked after him. The food and activities were very good. The surrounding environment is semi-industrial and not conducive to outdoor activity. Promises of regular physical therapy we're not kept. Thankfully, [name removed] was able to return successfully to her own home after 2 months. La Mores did provide a setting for her to recover strength after an acute illness, but home was still the more attractive option.

The facility was short staffed, director left... and we were not informed... no nurse on site as agreed when this happened. Sales said" I'll be there for you " and didn't return emails ... move in was terrible, no follow thru. We moved our Mom after 5 months.

PositiveWe chose this community for it's cleanliness and closeness to our home. The staff are very caring. My father moved into the community after he had a big fall and broke his hip and could not move back to his home. He was hesitant at first but has been doing much better now after 2 months. He has been able to move on his own after all the help from staff.
