PositiveMy mother-in-law was a resident in their ALF. She received excellent care from the caregivers, who treated her like their own family. This community offers a program for early stage dementia residents to remain in their apartment for as long as possible. The club kept her busy and “eyes on her” during daytime hours, which if left on her own, would have caused a more rapid decline. It also allowed her the ability to keep her beloved cat, which was a huge benefit. After it became evident that she needed the support o…

PositiveMy sister is in La Vida Real. I think it's very good. I want to live there. It's beautiful. It is expensive, but all the places are. The rooms are a 10. The staff is so nice. They have everything. They have pools, bingo, movie night, and a great restaurant. My sister doesn't take advantage of it, but it's beautiful. They have a ton of things to do. The dining area is clean, sharp, and well-maintained.
★★★★★
PositiveThe location was ideal since it's midway between me and my family. It the only facility we found to offer an independent living option, as well as assisted living and memory care
★★★★★
CriticalMy loved one has been in the memory care facility for the past 2 weeks. During that time we have witnessed soiled residents walking around, lack of staff to respond to needs of residents, staff that was there telling us there are only 2 people working on that floor because others called out. (There are around 20-30 residents on that floor) We have been asked numerous times by visitors if we could help them with their loved one from helping get their clothes on to finding their loved one that wasn’t in their room an…

PositiveLa Vida Real has a warm and welcoming feel. From the staff and other residents out and about at activities. There is something for everyone!
★★★★★
PositiveThe staff at La Vida Real was nice, accommodating, and welcoming. The inside was very clean. There were activities going and somebody was cooking some kind of Danish or something with a few of the residents. I saw two people in their rooms, but everybody else was out. I thought that was pretty neat. There was a mess on the floor. That was the negative part. It looked like somebody had spilled water or had an accident. That's the only complaint I would have and that it's a little too expensive. The facilit…
