PositiveI have been a resident here at the Lorien in Taneytown for over a year now. I can't get over how friendly and willing to help the staff is, every department and every shift. I moved here with my dog, who is the Queen of the facility. Every one knows her: staff, residents & regular visitor alike are all greeted by the white dog who lives with me. We both enjoy the activities especially the music. I fell in love with the courtyard on my first visit, it reminds me of the gardens I visited in Paris.

PositiveI stayed at Lorien last summer for almost a week. I experienced a terrible reaction to a medication a doctor prescribed for me. At home I had fallen 8 times in 4 days, luckily not breaking any bones. The food we had was absolutely delicious. In fact, I sent a note to the chef complimenting him. I participated in Bingo a lot. PositiveWe toured Lorien Taneytown. I liked the fact that my father-in-law would have his own room. I liked the fact that they have residents there that kind of have formed a group to help welcome everybody. They'll try to get them more involved, which is something that he needs. CriticalI did not care for Lorien Taneytown. They let me sit for half an hour and wait after my appointment time, and I wasn't happy about that. It just didn't appeal to me. I couldn't really get a sense of the living atmosphere there. It's like everybody was closed up in their own room. We were just shown the dining room and an empty bedroom.

PositiveMy sister is in the nursing home of Lorien Taneytown, and they have wonderful care. The food is delicious, and it's extremely clean.
