CriticalBeware… this is not a five-star facility. It’s like a piece of candy with a pretty wrapper on the outside that is rotten on the inside. The management staff at this facility is toxic, and one is constantly reminded that it functions like a good ‘ol boys club under the GM’s tutelage. If you get on their bad side, they will literally come after you! The GM and manager of AL went so far as to file two false police reports against me in addition to a bogus 911 call - all lies - as they viewed me as a whistleblower! W…

PositiveA very nice, friendly community. My aunt is very social, and it is easy for her to find activities to get involved in, people to eat with, and friends to visit. The food is excellent (as good as a restaurant). The common areas are beautiful and nicely maintained. Her room is perfect for her.

PositiveWe went to MacKenzie Place Fort Collins, and it's way too expensive. It's very nice and very posh. I didn't see a lot of people out and about. Their units are more self-contained. They had kitchens and laundry facilities in the unit. They had quite a few activities, but I think a lot of it was self-directed. There were a couple of ladies sitting by themselves the whole time we were there. The staff was very nice.
★★★★★
PositiveWhat we like the most about the MacKenzie Place is the friendliness of the fellow residents living there. We like the different meal options and the general activities suitable for a 91 year old (without emphasis on bingo). I do wish the handicapped parking for residents was more plentiful and closer.
★★★★★
PositiveOur tour at MacKenzie Place was great. The people were very nice. But our parents would have needed to move rooms when their service levels changed, and we were absolutely not interested in that.

CriticalI live here. Previously loved it. Our current manager is all about the bottom line. Covid aside, food quality way, way down, new manager doesn’t have a good relationship with residents and doesn't listen to our concerns. Other than that, facility itself is great, great trainers at the gym, some good activities.
