CriticalMost of the staff was like family. However, depending on the level of care needed, it could be hard to get someone at times for bathroom help or to offer you water throughout the day. There is a good selection of activities planned throughout the month. The food sometimes has great ideas and sometimes not. Cleanliness is not so good, and I have had to address it at times. Overall, the room is a good size for a bedroom.

Positive4 stars. Staff are caring and responsive. They have been helpful in securing physical therapy, and in helping me secure medical referrals, as needed. Maple Ridge has been my first experience to find assistance for my brother. My impression is very positive. Staff are friendly and responsive. Patients wear alert buttons for immediate needs. Food is good.

PositiveMy cousin moved to Maple Ridge Senior Living's memory care unit. We've been finding that the nurse aides and the facility are very accommodating. They've been really good about a lot of things, too. The upkeep is very good, although sometimes we go in there, and my cousin's room is a little bit messy, and we'd like it to be cleaned up, but it's not terrible. PositiveAll facilities have a problem with staffing. Maple Ridge is not exempt. The quality of food is good. There are times I question the choice of food for dementia patients.

CriticalThe place is so understaffed that my mother got so tired of crapping herself waiting for an assistant to bring a bedpan, she eventually just decided to stop eating so she wouldn't soil herself anymore. My mother passed away from lack of eating. Plus the setup is ridiculous how the nursing assistants and nurses have to float between buildings. Takes them forever to help the patients.
