MorningStar Senior Living of Longmont

We toured Morning Star of Longmont's memory care. The building was beautiful, and the staff appeared devoted. The director of community relations and the executive director highlighted their unparalleled compassion, training, staffing ratios, and transparency. There was nothing they could not handle. We were so relieved to have found such a wonderful place. Sadly, it's a facade. After days of fulfilling their requirements, including a nurse’s care cost evaluation, we were notified by text—4 days after the decision…

[name removed] was such an excellent person to have our tour with. My mother is looking for an assisted living facility, and is very hard of hearing. [name removed] was so patient with her, and explained many things several times, always with a smile and with kindness. What a joy to work with her.

Superb environment and care

I am so grateful for the quality of care my husband received during 16 months at Balfour Longmont Memory Care, an elegant and beautiful facility. To the leadership, to the RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and care partners, to the kitchen staff and servers, to the front desk and activity directors, and to the household and maintenance personnel, I offer my highest praise.. Thank you each and all.

Terrible Staff

All of the residents are very rude and the staff is inconsiderate. There is constantly an issue here at the Longmont location. It’s a very loud location with a busy highway and construction. I personally would not recommend my family to stay here as they don’t care for the community and the environment does not seem friendly.

It is more of a skilled nursing facility. Very few residents were independent. The apartments were designed for assisted living or skilled nursing care. The rental cost and entry fee for independent living is not justified if you don't need assisted living skilled nursing care.

Would recommend

I think Balfour is a fabulous community and allows both of my parents to receive the different levels of support they need while still getting to be with each other each day. It is a beautiful facility that is pleasant to be in and I think the staff truly care about the residents and their well-being.
