CriticalNorth Roanoke Assisted Living is the most filtiest place you could put your family member! Maggots, bedbugs, dead rats in laundry, rooms don't get cleaned for weeks!!!! I am going to keep working to shut that place down!!! Staff are unprofessional and in drugs!!! This place NÈEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN!!!!

CriticalMy two daughters’ father was a resident in the nursing home and died in July. They received a phone call asking if they would like to have his stimulus benefits of $1200 remaining in his account mailed to them. Their answer was yes. Several weeks later they received a debit card in the amount of $500 and cannot get an answer as to where the remaining funds went. Very suspicious. An unclear explanation was given but they refuse to mail copies of documents accounting for the money.

CriticalMy brother was there for a short period. He was put in jail at one point because no one knew he had a court appearance scheduled. He went to hospital and I didn't find out until medi care statement came in. I was told to pick up his stuff and when I got there (2 hrs a way) it wasn't ready. CriticalThis is the worst nursing home in Roanoke, as soon as you step in the door all you smell is urine and it is filthy dirty inside. the furniture is outdated, half of the residents walk around with pee stains on the back of their pants. The paint is chipping off the walls the whole place is in disrepair and in need of major repair. PositiveMy 64 year old brain-injured, bipolar brother lives here and they are very patient and caring with him even though he sometimes screams at workers for the least thing that displeases him. He has been in other more upscale locations that did not tolerate his idiosyncracies. This facility is clean, the staff approachable, and the caretakers are vigilant without being oppressive. Also, the price has not increased in the 6 years he has resided there!
