PositiveUpon entering Oakmont of the lakes we were greeted by friendly staff - we were guided through the facilities -shown the dining room -craft room etc plus the efficiency 1 room we were interested in- We were impressed of the various activities and services that were being offered-we decided on the spot this was the best place for my brother who had recently suffered a stroke which caused his blindness along with his heart condition - he also uses a walker- I hope my brother is happy with our choice - I live in Arizon…

CriticalMemory Care section is abysmal!
If you care about your loved ones, DO NOT PUT THEM HERE!!!! I cannot speak to the assisted living section, which is all they seem to care about, since those residents are able to communicate with their families, but the memory care wing is abysmal. We visited every single day when they were in this terrible place, because they begged us to not leave them here. They are now in a much better place and thriving. The staff was very attentive and supportive. They assisted at every level including through hospice to our loved one transitioning. They even helped on disposition of belongings. Highly recommend Oakmont.

They are very responsive. They call me to recommend things to make live better for my brother. The facilities are uplifting, clean, and easy for him to navigate. I am thinking about having someone visit with him and take some of the loneliness away. Take him outside and open up his life a bit. Maybe 3-4 times a week for 4 hours or so.
