CriticalMy mother lived at Our Lady of the Valley for 5 months. The day she moved in, she could walk and the day we moved her out, she was in a wheelchair. Within two months of living there, the director of nursing insisted our mom needed a sitter because they did not have enough staff to keep up with her. She soon had medication changes where she spent a lot of her time sleeping or groggy with a significant increase of falls. A week before we decided to move her out, she was incoherent at times. We feared for her over all…

PositiveI toured Our Lady of the Valley. The folks had a good amount of freedom to do what they wanted to do, which was nice. As far as outside activities, coming and going with friends and family without too much of an issue was a benefit. I saw some of the food there, and it looked nice. The staff was engaging and helpful with any questions that I had. The facility was clean. I looked at one of the rooms and one of the apartments, and they seemed adequate.

PositiveMy loved one was a resident at Our Lady of the Valley for several years. Overall, my loved one had a good experience at this facility. The cleanliness and friendliness were good. The staff, care services, meals and activities were also good. The value for cost was very good. I would recommend Our Lady of the Valley as an option for others to consider when looking for an Assisted Living facility.

During COVID they had a bunch of upgrades built on, so they had a new movie theater room and they had a chapel. There were plenty of parking spots and there were a lot of activities. It seemed like the people there were happy. We met several people, they seemed very engaged. Just as we walked through, we saw a lot of people sitting with staff members and talking, and they were greeted. It's not like they're grumb…

PositiveThe facility is well run and maintained. Beautiful new additions include a Theatre, Chapel and Rehab Unit. Private rooms are spacious and include a mini fridge, seating for visitors and spacious private bathroom. There are drinks to include juice (orange, apple, cranberry or tropical water), sweet and unsweet tea, coffee, hot chocolate or hot tea and bullion available all day, including snacks. The food is plated and immediately served, it does not come from the kitchen in trays, it is from a steam table. Special m…
