2.5 Years at Pegasus Saddlebrook Memory Care — An Honest Assessment

My family member has lived here for two and a half years. This review reflects sustained observation of daily operations. Turnover has reached roughly 200 percent. Management listens to concerns but rarely follows through. Basic bed-sheet changes occurred only about ten times in 2.5 years. My mother was in Saddlebrook earlier this year and received very good care. The people who work in this facility do a great job of taking care of all the patients and they are very hard working and dedicated. Once my mother passed away, I was told I was to receive a partial refund for the month (May). They facility then also automatically took out a payment for the following month (June) even though she was deceased. It has been about 4 months later and I have not received any refund. I'm a physical therapist and I can tell you that when my husband was there the administration and the quality of care was extremely poor. I've heard that they have all new stuff and administration now so it may be completely different. I can only give you my experience. I would make sure that there is an individualized plan of care that is being implemented by the staff. Overall recommend

There was lots of staff and management changes while we were there. There were staff issues that affected both the food and activities so I didn't get a realistic picture. They aren't the only place with staffing issues. And I like the new director they brought on- he's good.
