Lovely clean facility with plenty to do on paper, but the reality was that nothing was going on anywhere anyplace. Nice library, where I was told residents play games and cards and talk, Other rooms where similar activities were suppose to occur, but I saw no residence participating in any activities at all. In fact, I only saw approximately 5 residents in all, and they were just sitting on benches or chairs in the lobby or outside. Plattduetche is a gem!

The staff is amazing. Caring and compassionate. My mother is well cared for, which was especially evident when she's been sick. They have a great schedule of activities. My mother especially loves the beach trips during the summer, the ability to go to local shows. The residents are well fed. The landscaping is always impeccable, so it shows how well cared for the facility is as well. Whenever we've had an issue, it was resolved quickly, and again, with care. We had a thorough tour , but unfortunately there are 38 people on the list to get a 1-bedroom. We loved the vegetable garden!

The tour and the facility was very good. Staff very professional and friendly. However, I had requested an appointment by email without any response. When I called, the appointment was set up expeditiously. After the tour, I went home and send an email with some additional questions. No response. I concluded that their email system may have a glitch. Not uncommon. I found that to be true with other facilities that I have visited.

Amazing Facility

The staff is the best, the facility and grounds are immaculate. This place is over 100 years old and you would never know because of how well kept it is. The grounds are cheerful and beautiful. Having my father move into this place was the best thing we have done. They have so much to do (if they want to), eat well with many choices, rooms are spacious and is being updated all the time.
