PositiveMy mom is staying at Preakness Healthcare Center for long-term care. It's been positive. She hasn't complained. She likes the people and the staff. We were very fortunate that they had an available bed. My mom hasn't been in the dining area because she doesn't have a permanent room yet, but she's eating, whereas before, she would forget to eat. My mind is at rest now, knowing that she'll be eating and will be getting her medication. The staff was very friendly. I told them she liked bi…

CriticalThe facility is very decent and some of the staff are very caring. However, if you are not on top of them your family member may be neglected. Especially those who cant speak, advocate, or defend themselves. I was forced to report them to the state due to the negligence my parent experienced. The lack of empathy, and unprofessionalism from a few nursing staff, supervisor and employees who should not be in these positions caring for the elderly, is beyond concerning. I have experienced first hand and my concerns wer…

PositiveMy Mother-in-Law Amelia C. was a Resident for 4 years. We were SO Happy we chose PH for her. After 4 years in our home, a mini stroke and the onset of Alzheimer’s made our decision to find a place for her to get the care we could no longer provide. The Facility is Amazing. The cleanliness, food & accommodations are outstanding!! But their Staff was the Miracle we could have only hoped for. We never met a more catering, giving and loving group of people. We were there almost every day during those 4 years and ha…

PositiveI had to go to rehab after my hospital stay. I can’t praise Preakness Healthcare center enough. The care was excellent and the staff was wonderful. The facility was sparkling clean. I would not hesitate to return to Preakness if I ever need rehab again.

PositiveMy elderly mother recently had a hospital stay and it was suggested that she go to rehab prior to going home. We chose Preakness Healthcare Center because we have always heard good things. Well, we were not disappointed. My mothers' care was excellent. The facility was shiny clean and never a hint of odors of any kind. I have never seen such caring and attentive staff. The rooms were very, very nice and instead of a curtain between two beds, the beds are toe to toe and there is an actual wall between the beds …

PositiveWe found Preakness Nursing Home for my mother. It is very clean. It is very friendly and very professional. The staff's work ethics are very good. The rooms are clean. They are pretty good. The only thing I don't like about it, and also with a lot of nursing homes, is that they look like a hospital bed. I don't think a nursing home should have a hospital bed. They need to improve their beds. The dining room is very nice. With regards to activities, they have bingo, and tomorrow, they'll have a V…
