Premier Assisted Living was very clean. The people were very friendly. The young girl that gave us our tour was very knowledgeable and very sociable. They had a couple of patients that came by, and she spoke with them. It's not like she just ignored them. It was equal in terms of cleanliness and being sociable with the other place, but I liked the fact that Premier Assisted Living had a library.

This is a hotel converted into assisted living. The community gathering area, dining room and other amenities were very impressive. The resident rooms are very large and recently renovated. Very pleasant atmosphere. Staff was amazing and my tour was one of the best. The only drawback is the resident rooms exit onto covered walkways to the main building. In bad weather that may be a bit unpleasant, but worth it to have such spacious living and bathroom space.

CriticalIt's an Elderly Community, with a Motel Feel.
Astoria is an ok place. I would recommend looking elsewhere, though. If you can't find anything else, then Astoria is alright. The layout of the community is strange. The layout of the rooms, is like living in a motel. To get to the main building and it is raining outside, you will need to use an umbrella.

The facility will be under new Administration soon and when legitimate concerns are raised there is not one to provide any answers. Those currently in these positions now are in the dark. The concerns of the residents seems of no concern to the incoming ADMINISTRATION, One or more need to address their concerns quickly. As it seems to be no continuation of leadership,. This is probably do to a lack of communication from the incoming Administration.

My mother in law is doing great at Astoria. The staff have been very nice. They keep the community well taken care of. They have plenty of things to do during the day including play bingo. The food is delicious. This community has a lot of military residents so there is a lot of diversity and she likes that.
