When my brothers and I or my dad talks about his new home at Quarry Ridge we describe it as entering into a grand hotel! It's beautiful decorations for each month and holiday the waterfall when you first walk in. The managers live there and participate in the special events! It's a beautiful place, visually. Especially the dining area. Stunning. The food, I'd give 4?? I didn't care for some of the hot meal options, so I would have the really nice soup and salad bar. A little hard to say as my father tends to keep to himself. He doesn't participate in most of the scheduled activities, though it has been my observation that there is a nice variety offered. The weekly housekeeping service is really nice, as well as the accommodation's made for dogs. My father is unimpressed with the food and chooses to make his own meals most of the time even though three meals a day are included in what he pays. I would rate the quarry ridge retirement facility w a 10!!! My dad is not alone anymore sitting in an empty house! He's going for walks on the 1st and 2nd floor! He plays cribbage in the library every day w friends! He eats w different people for lunch and dinner! He can't say enough about the Food!!! He tells us what he got to eat day after day!! I am very pleased with my choice to live at Quarry Ridge. The food is great and there are plenty of activities to take part in. The staff is so helpful and they go out of their way to provide any assistance needed. My absolute favorite part is the social connections. PositiveRetired Living at its Finest!
Variety in food, excursions, activities (cards, games, & puzzles). The concern for continuing good physical fitness includes Balance class, general exercises, Chair Yoga, Dance exercise, and our fitness center has several machines to continue improving our health rehab. Crafts and Musical participation are also encouraged. It is a friendly community and is welcoming to new residents. I wouldn't choose anywhere else to live.
