CriticalI think I said before that I would not recommend the Rose of Ames to anybody. Our experience there just was not what we thought it was going to be. I think the day-to-day staff that work with the residence were good. They did a good job, but to me, the administration did not. I felt they were condescending and uncaring. Overall, the place was clean they provided activities. I don't think there were any complaints about the food there. I honestly don't remember that either way so the problem was if you need any type…
★★★★★
CriticalIt wasn't the best experience. Most likely a result of misunderstanding the level of care or response given. There were also instances of different answers given depending on who you spoke with. The staff were nice people, the place was nice too. The lead nursing administration seemed to not truly care about health and safety although she said that was what mattered.

PositiveThe only place that really sparked my attention was The Rose of Ames. They had nice people, a one-bedroom apartment, a nice kitchen, everything. They would provide two meals a day. They had a weight room and an activity director, and they played bingo and all that stuff. The staff was real good. It was very clean.

CriticalCommunication with the administration has been a little difficult. It's hard to get answers or at least time answers. Otherwise it's a great place. I would recommend

PositiveIt's a very nice place. I'm hearing their food is not always the best. It's like a senior living apartment and you add amenities you need for cost beyond your rent. You can add up to 2 meals a day, house cleaning, laundry, meds set up, shower assistance, Media Monkey. It's very clean and grounds well kept. Pleasant employees.

PositiveWe toured The Rose of Ames. I was pleasantly surprised. The rooms and dining area were nice. The coordinator was very helpful with figuring out financial stuff and everything. They were helpful and nice, giving us all the information we needed. I did check the dining area. My mom knows a couple of people who live out there, so they vouched for the food. They have a craft room and a movie room where people watch movies, like a theater room. They have another room on another floor for playing cards and games and stuf…
