Sad and horrible

Having not seen my elderly mother for over a year due to COVID, I was overjoyed to be able to go and spend her 89th birthday with her. Despite my being healthy with no symptoms of being ill, the facility refused to let me share lunch with my mother, because I could not remove my mask. When she realized they would not let me eat, she tried to give me her food. Finally, she left the table in anger and disgust. Best magic show in north county

The only reason they are getting 2 stars is for a hand full of staff members that went above and beyond for my uncle who has gone on to greener pastures. I have visited all hours of the day experiencing all staff. Let's start with the good. It will be short. There are 1 or 2 nurses that actually interact with the residents besides giving pills. Silveradob-Wonderful, Loving Care

Wonderful place with outstanding loving care. While Silverado Is not one of the newer places in town, it proved to be the best place for my Mom. My Mom just passed away this spring and was at Silverado for almost 3 years. She had no serious illness other than dementia & memory loss and sadly lost the ability to walk - even though she always thought she could. Definitely recommend

Silverado Escondido provides daycare, single overnight Respite along with longer Respite, and full term. This home is dedicated to providing the best care and support for the families, while at the same time loving on the patients. It's a social setting, like a Senior Center with supervision. I'm very impressed with the services and the staff.

Doing Ok

My dad enjoys staying here. The staff is nice they interact and care about the residents. The residents seem to enjoy being here. They offer a variety of things to do. The food is good. The community is clean and well maintained.

My husband had been at Silverado Escondido for day care so I was familiar with their community and it is set-up well for Alzheimers/dementia care. But I felt that when it came time to find a place for my husband that it was just too busy an atmosphere for him and he would have trouble adjusting and just be too confusing. It was a nice experience, but it wasn't the right fit for my husband.
