Compared to other independent living facilities, Solista Milwaukie is a 3.8. If that designation isn't available, I don’t know what to give it. MAYBE it could squeak in at 4. The staff is unfailingly polite. They always have a smile. Well, except for [name removed], the chef. He can be...brusque. I don't think he got the memo to be pleasant. Care-- There is a housekeeper that shows up at odd moments, otherwise there is no care. But the housekeeper is pleasant and quick. Activities- The usual old people stuff m…

PositiveUnique and smaller facility with only a few floors. Beautiful dining and event spaces on the 3rd floor. All the residents we engaged with were quite happy and willing to speak about how much they liked living there. We are actively considering a new home at this independent living complex.

The facility is great and the residents are friendly. There was a significant breakdown in communication between marketing and maintenance The marketing person was great initially, but once the lease was signed, it was very difficult to get her to return phone calls or answer questions. There was a lot of things promised that she did not follow through with. The manager was very good at getting things resolved for us eventually.
