Surprised at all of the positive reviews, candidly. We put my dad at St. Paul's and while it was a hard decision to do that, seeing him there was even harder. Like similar places, they're understaffed, the staff is undertrained, and leadership is lacking. They're owned by a big company that likely is squeezing out the dollars so what's left of a very big monthly amount ($8K) goes elsewhere. From walking in to moving in. We were greeted by the friendly front desk and met with the sales counselor. She showed us all the common area's, the expansive list of activities and the chapel. Stayed for lunch after our tour and the food was delicious. The community was so clean you could have ate off of the floor. The apartment is very roomy and cozy. I and my husband visited his mother recently. I left her room so he vould visit with her. I ended up walking around for over an hour and still did not fiind the right exit. At first I thought I took one of the elevators to the first floor, got off and walked up and down every single hallway, opened doors that I sure I wasn't supposed to open and then saw that the room numbers began with a '2' and I was on the same floor just another section of the 2nd floor. My dad is a resident of St. Paul's. He likes the mass and the religious aspect of it, but they don't watch him very closely, and he's had ten falls. He has his room, and he's got a hospital bed now. It's a very nice facility, but I don't know if they don't have the workers or what. He had so many falls. They don't get to know him that well. He's way down at the end of the hall. My mother is at Saint Paul's. The staff is very caring. I have had lots of good conversations with the nurses and the aides there. She ended up moving from there into the hospital for a while and then rehab again and we weren't sure if she was going to be able to move in. They all loved Mom. They wanted her to come back and they said, "Whatever it takes, she can come back." They're very sweet and she's got a good friend there, too. We had Thanksgiving dinner there and it was pretty goo…

My uncle was at St. Paul's for two years. They were very friendly people. But what I liked least about it was everything was far away for him to go like to eat and sit outside. Things were very far away for him, and with him having problems with his walking and everything, he just didn't do it very often. The staff was very caring.
