Loved the tour and the facility. As we prepare to move my dad I wish there was better communication to understand the process and when we can move my dad to their facility.

Her room exceeded expectations. The staff is good at responding to questions and concerns. They provide many activities that give residents a chance to interact. I would recommend to others.

Wonderful and caring staff and activities

They were very informative and helpful from the very start. Most of the staff went above and beyond! It was a very safe environment. We especially appreciated [names removed] The only thing that we thought could be improved on was the accuracy of the delivered meals. Sometimes we wouldn't get everything we ordered or we would get duplicates when we didn't ask.

Making a Hard Decision into a Great Experience

Each visit that we make to see my mother in law she says how happy she is at Stony River and how kind the staff are. She says the food is good with a standing menu and special for every meal. There are plenty of activities to choose from including nightly movies in the movie theater. Without the help from a place for Mom we never would have found Stony River, so Thank You so much for your assistance as well.

Our family's experience

It seemed like there was a fair amount of turnover among the caretakers. My mom fell 6 or 7 times where she was sent to the ER. She should have been using her walker at all times... not sure how strictly that was enforced. I had dinner with my mom a few times and it was not great. Admin staff was very hard to get a hold of... several times we called the main number and no one answered. I think they did the best with what they had. I did think the facility was very cute and had a great set up with the separate neigh…

Overall would recommend

Staff (both admin. & others) are helpful & cheerful. Having a memory care wing in house was a big plus as my mother's memories deteriorated with age (had she not died last year) taking the toll of caring for her off of my father for the 1st time in over 60 years. My father loves playing cards of which they have many card clubs as well as they got him into doing "bowling" on the Wi where he used to be a great bowler.
