StoryPoint East Lansing is an awesome community. My 95 year old mother has been there three years and really loves it. The facilities are beautiful and well maintained, but the real draw are the people, the staff and the residents. The staff is excellent. My mother considers many of the staff as friends. She tells me often how happy she is with her living arrangement. If there is any negative, it’s the food. Our mother was one of the first residents accepted into the Memory Care Unit when it opened in 2022 and lived there 3 years before she passed. We moved her from another facility and there wasn’t a day we regretted our decision. The staff was engaged, kind, caring and very attentive to the individual needs of each resident. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, and the facility is very clean and modern. I especially enjoy the occasional live piano performances. I would love to see more variety in the music offerings, along with additional art activities and creative opportunities. The food, however, is not very good and is an area that really needs to be addressed and improved.

Everybody seems like a family there at StoryPoint Abbot Park. The staff interacts with the residents, and they all know them by name as they're walking by. Everybody seems happy and well cared for. The place is bright, cheery, clean, has no bad odors, and spacious. I feel like they treat the residents like humans, not just old people. My friend is going to be placed on Monday.
