PositiveThe Family Advisor greeted us, gave us information, answered our questions and showed us a one-bedroom apartment. She was very professional & efficient, yet very warm and friendly. It is rare in these days, but she was honest and told me that Sumter Grove was a better fit for me at this time. I really appreciated that. The facility was very convenient to everything. It was sparkling clean and nicely decorated. We were really impressed. We felt it was more of a rehabilitation and nursing home facility than assisted…

The facility is outstanding, clean, safe, inviting, family oriented. The staff is amazing, respectful, courteous and engaging. I couldn't have imagined a a place for mom. Coming from NC, I was very optimistic, but now, I'm at peace.

It is close to my mother's house, and easily accessible to family & friends. No, we would not recommend. Our mother was at the highest level of care, and we don't feel like she received that level. Her apt/room wasn't cleaned or ready for her when she first arrived. Several personal items went missing. They were reported but never replaced. We felt like if she remained there, she would have declined rapidly.

My mother was a resident for a very short time; but during that time I was very happy with the care that she received. Her room was a good size for her and the staff were very friendly. My family and I enjoyed spending time with her there.I would recommend Sumter Terrace to anyone looking for an assisted living facility for a loved one.

PositiveExtremely pleased
The family was unsure about moving to an Assisted Living Home since mom and dad were used to living at their home of 34 years. We brought their favorite furniture and decorations and were pleasantly surprised how easily mom and dad got used to a new routine. I didn’t realize how stressful it was to manage their medicines, but the Sumter Terrace staff takes great care of all the important details. We recommend them highly!
