The Employees at the Blake Truly Care

We loved the Blake. My dad passed away but the Blake was a blessing. The people there cared about him and he acclimated well there, despite some transfer trauma. Some of them came and visited him in the hospital and came to his funeral. I am grateful for the care he received and I would recommend the Blake to anyone looking for a memory care facility for their loved one.

Our experience at the Blake-Good but needs improvement!

Overall is a 3. I am trying to be fair. The concern over the poor caregiver is a real problem and probably the most important aspect of having family in assisted living Some things they did really well, others not as well which really took away from the total experience. 2. Cleanliness-5 The place looks new and is well maintained in the common areas. The cleaning staff is very good but stretched too thin on the individual rooms which are done roughly once a week. 3. I moved my Mom in a couple of months ago and we are all very happy with the community and our choice! Not sure what the 2024 reviewers experienced, but it must be very different now (in a positive way) because we are thoroughly happy with this community. Great Staff, Dining, Activities, etc.

Beautiful community. Just moved Mom there a few months ago. Staff is caring and friendly, Good Dining and lots of Activities. Mom is very happy!

So far a big 5 for alllll! Everyone seems very helpful, engaged with the residents. And the facility is bright and welcoming. We would absolutely recommend The Blake community to other families who may need a place for their loved one

My friend is staying at The Blake at Charlottesville. What I like best about it is it's very attractive. The physical building is very nice. What I like the least is the care. She is not getting good care. I would say the staff is poorly trained and that's why the care is so poor. Cleanliness is outstanding. The building is new. It was built in the last couple of years.
