I would NOT recommend The Blake in Daytona Beach for assisted living care. Although the facility is beautiful, our experience was disappointing. It was often difficult to locate staff, communication with family was poor, and many of my calls were not returned. The cost is high, and in my opinion, the care and services do not justify the price. Management turnover at this location is also concerning. My husband stayed at The Blake at LPGA. It's a gorgeous place, but the price was very high. I had an argument with the administrator because you're paying for toilet paper. In a place like that, you shouldn't have to pay for toilet paper. My husband had fallen and broken three ribs, and when I asked, nobody knew what happened. If you're in assisted living, they don't bother to go and check to see what you're doing. They're charging me $1500 extra for somebody to stand in the room …
