My mom is at The Bristal Assisted Living at North Hills. The overall experience with them is good. Some of the staff is better than others. Some of them really care and do a great job while others go through the motion. The food in memory care is not as good. They don't really ask my mom what she wants to eat. They just give her whatever they feel like. It also doesn't come right out of the kitchen. It comes out of a warmer that's brought from the dining hall. My mom doesn't complain about the f…

This is a high end establishment that doesn't deliver. A great fancy dining hall but the food is not up to par with no personalized service. I requested if they could provide heart friendly whole food plant based menus for my dad and they could not accomodate. And I visited my dad recently and there was no heat in the bedroom. My mother is at The Bristal at North Hills. The facility is nice. They have planned events like musicians that come in weekly, which is also nice. They have local bus trips to local stores and restaurants, and they bring in entertainment. The one-bedroom apartments with a living room are decently sized. Some apartments are renovated and others are not. They could plan more varied activities for the residents though. Overall, the staff is pleasant. It's expensive but it seems to be on par with other places.

My parents moved into The Bristal 2 1/2 years ago. From the first day the staff was wonderful -caring, friendly, attentive. They got to know my parents and their needs right away. Staff always greets residences with hellos and smiles on a first name basis when they see them. After my dad passed my mom moved to the memory care unit where she got excellent care from the dedicated staff. Cannot say enough about the staff at the Bristal at North Hills. They all get to know both residents as well as families - not just their names but on a personal basis as well. My parents were so well taken care of and all their needs meet. Staff very friendly - always smiles and greetings to everyone. Great communication between staff and family members - my calls always returned promptly and they reached out to me keeping me updated.
