The Lodge At Grand Junction

Host gave a detailed run down of the facility and costs then gave us a tour. When host greeted residents, they were more like zombies--little response even when they were at lunch. Room for activities limited and very little outside area for walking --you end up walking into the neighborhood. The neighborhood was a dead-end and seemed nice supposedly accepting of residents walking in their neighborhood. Rooms were limited space, majority single room/studios. The Lodge us a sister facility to where my parent is currently. They shared information and contacted me very swiftly and was able to take a tour the next day and meet with assessment staff on the same day. Hope to move my parent by the end of the week! Great staff!

Little disappointed in the promised levels of care. Get things in writing from the outset ie how often residents are checked upon, credentials of caretakers

I rate all categories at a 5. It's a great facility and my parents are very comfortable and have only positive things to say. Thank you for the recommendation and setting up the first appointment. The Lodge is a good facility and our family is very happy with the care they provide.

Would recommend

Homey feel. Proximity to St. Mary's Hospital. Yes, we would recommend The Lodge to other families based on the experience so far.

The common areas are well kept but I keep having to ask for cleaning to be done in my mom's room. Meals are fairly repetitive in nature but good portions.
