Family Experience

Activities were engaging for residents and planned events aligned with holidays, recognitions, etc. Activity staff enjoyed their work and was reflected in how residents were treated. Food menu had variety and special needs handled easily. Staffing was an issue - including cleaning staff, laundry, maintenance, and caregivers. All staff were caring and attentive - just not enough staff to meet all the needs. There were questions about overnight staff meeting needs of residents and families. At times, business side…

I would rate Overall experience, care services and staff a negative 1. The facility looks very nice however the care is lacking and under staffed. Unless the management staff has changed this is a bad decision that will be costly to correct.

Top notch facility

They were very good to my dad. As for value , the cost was very good in the beginning but jumped quite a bit after 4 months. It is a very clean facility, friendly staff and great care of each resident. We also had a great experience with A Place for Mom! [name removed] was so helpful.

The Pearl at Watkins Centre is spacious, clean and our loved one is looked after during the day. However the fall prevention needs more attention. We would recommend this community to other families if there was no fall risk but I think that is a problem all facilities face.
