The Rose at Round Rock

My mother is a resident in the memory care, for about 5 months now.

My mother has been at the Waterford for about five months and we have had a good experience overall. There have been changes in staffing, as the memory care director is new, as well as the staff nurse leaving. With these changes, there can be challenges with communication. However, the staff have been very nice and accommodating over all. They have very nice family/resident events periodically, celebrating the seasons/holidays. Fair facility for someone only requiring minimal assistance.

Better options out there. Medication management lacking. Rent went up significantly after the first year. Meals are fair at most. Frequently told that they were not allowed to assist my mother with basics like helping to remove her dental partial. Understaffed.

Very Happy Here

The staff here is very compassionate and caring. They work hard to address any need that arises. The facility is cheerful, modern, and clean. It and the grounds are easily accessible and usable for those with mobility issues. Residents are genuinely happy to be here. Experience with The Waterford at Round Rock

My experience was one of the most emotional, mentally and financially exhausting experiences of my life, and I am still recovering from it. There were serious concerns regarding safety, communication, documentation, and how changing care needs were handled. When additional support became necessary, I felt there was no clear care plan or strategy, which resulted in significant unexpected expenses.
