★★★★★
PositiveThe staff is friendly and helpful, but the room layout is awkward and the bathroom is very small for someone using a walker. Mom feels she can't go to the activities because they are in the other half of the building, which involves going down one slope (she goes too fast) and up another slope (she can't do it.) She does like the food! The cleanliness is also good!

PositiveBethesda Gardens has been. Perfect place for my mother -in-law. It's clean and comfortable and they take good care of her. They allow her to do what she can on her own and step in when needed. The staff at Bethesda Gardens has gone the extra mile to be sure our family member feels loved and cared for. While she was in a skilled nursing facility, the staff nurse, Barbara went to visit with her. She assured her that she was missed and they were anxious to have her home.
★★★★★
PositiveThe lowest point is the food. Most of the residents are not too happy with their meals. The administrator, head nurse and housekeeper are excellent. Very knowledgeable and address all concerns quickly. The activities are good but lately they have not been consistent

CriticalOur experience was not a positive one. I would rate it a 1 overall. The room was super small shared by 2 people. Mom's side had no windows and the other room mate had to go through mom's side every time they entered the space. The food that was served was mostly cold sandwi hes, hot dogs, chips, and cookies so hard they could be used as hockey pucks. They often left mom in her wheelchair in the dining room long after dinner was finished and dining g hall cleaned. I found her multiple times sitting alone in dining h…
