I visited this facility

The Village at Gainesville is extremely beautiful, but it's also expensive. It's more expensive than any of the other ones that we went to. However, it's worth it to live there. They have everything you could think of. They have all the group clubs that my husband would just die to be a part of. They have plenty of things that I'm very interested in. Life there would have been very nice. It's very close to home, and so we wouldn't have had to move and all of that. They had invited us t…

I visited this facility

We toured The Village at Gainesville, and it was fine. However, what I didn't like was that it was an older facility, and each apartment needed a great deal of work before it could be occupied. The staff was very friendly, and everyone has been great. The facility looked like it had been there for about 20 years but was well-maintained. It was a mix of apartments and villas. The villas were very well appointed and well maintained, but we didn't like Gainesville. We spent quite a bit of time there.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My friend is at The Village at Gainesville. There's really good nursing care and support. It has a nice atmosphere. There are really great community spaces. My friend is in an efficiency room, so her space is pretty small. And she said she just considers some of the community spaces as her living room. There would be nice spaces if she had family or friends come to be able to sit in a cozy space and visit. She felt like there were good programs to participate in, too. There is a devotional time each day, and s…

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My mom is at The Village at Gainesville. Every time I call there and tell them my mother has a landline, they're like, 'You need to call back, and this and that' and I'm tired of that. I'm constantly calling the center, and it has been a couple of months. My mom hides her phone, and there's not a nurse who can find her phone that she's hiding. For communication, they're terrible. However, once I get there, the staff members are super nice. They just have bad communication ski…

I visited this facility

I visited The Village at Gainesville. They had a laundry in the ensuite. The place was beautiful, and that's where I would like to move but it was too expensive. The staff was very helpful and I had a great tour. They were friendly. They offered everything. They had big refrigerators and had all kinds of amenities.

I visited this facility

We visited the assisted living side of The Village at Gainesville called Jasmine Pointe. It was beautiful. It's very high-end. Everything about it is beautiful. I saw an efficiency apartment, and it was very nice. It had more or less a bedroom with a little kitchenette and a bathroom. The staff who toured me was very good. She did a great job. She's in the sales office. I just happened to call because I was next door, and they accommodated me, so it was nice. They provide everything you could want. They h…
