Skilled Nursing Care Facility is Excellent

My brother has been at the Nursing Care Center at the Village of St. Edward’s at Fairlawn for close to a year now. In the previous four years he had been in five different centers for various amounts of time. None of them have provided him with the exceptional level of care he is receiving here. My mother lived at The Village of St. Edward Fairlawn for 20 years, and her great experience there is what encouraged me to look at facilities for myself. I'll consider it. I'm comfortable with the fact that I'm quite sure this facility was very highly reviewed and recommended, and I would add my accolades to that. Extremely Satisfied

It is a Christian organization. The residents are treated with care and love. The staff is very authentic, they are caring. They have done a great job with communication during the pandemic. The food is good. They have a varied menu, they have a board out with specials every day for residents. They have a beautiful chapel and take the residents to services. They also had music on Sundays and friends and family are invited. They also have holiday parties for friends and families.

Nice property, but rooms could use updating and were a bit small with no patios or balconies. No covered garages.

While looking into various options for my mother, I actually liked this location the most. This property is very well respected. Here they have assisted living to full blown Alzheimer’s care. However there was an issue. The number of folks here is smaller compared to other places. If you were to not get along with one person it’s not like you can move anywhere to avoid that. We toured this community for the care for my mom. We did like the environment and the nice staff who were able to answer the questions we had. The menu is nice and the variety of activities are very nice for the residents who are able to participate. We would recommend this community. We found it to be further than what we wanted at the time.
