Staff were extremely friendly and very helpful. Always willing to assist. Room was clean. Couch was not reclining when we arrived. During tour they had reclining couch. Food was good. Overall a great place.

Based on what I saw and my conversation with my FIL, I would give it 4 stars. The place is definitely old and smells like stale urine. They do help the residents with eating their meals and provide a 2nd portion if they want. Everyone is super friendly & helpful. The only complaint is that the staff is giving my MIL things to other residents to use/wear which is creating the hardship of us having to constantly buy more clothes for her. I moved to the assisted living of Vintage Care of Palatka, and it's a wonderful place. The staff members and all the people who live here are very friendly and helpful. The staff makes sure I have all my meds refilled on time, and they go beyond the call of duty. It's a relaxed setting. They give help if you need it, but it's not necessary, so I enjoy that, being an independent person. I only have one leg, so I'm in a chair 24/7, but everything here is handicap accessible, including the bedrooms…

The staff was great. The activities were great. The activity staff was great. The main complaint is that the facility needs updating. I would recommend the facility as a whole, but the building needs an upgrade. But the staff makes up for what the facility lacks as a structure.

PositiveThe care givers are very nice and attentive.
Vintage Care is a small community ALF in Palatka. It seemed to fit him better than a large facility with lots of bells and whistles (that he cannot see, partake or hear much). My dad is legally blind and only has 32% hearing, so a smaller facility can attend to my dad better. This was his choice. He is still ironing out the kinks, getting used to living in a facility, making sure meds are given on time ( they've been great), etc., etc. No place is perfect but he is safe, clean, fed and meds on time.
