Addington Place Of Shiloh

I was very impressed with Addington Place. The entryway is very inviting. We happened to be touring during lunch time and the food smelled delicious. We were given a very thorough tour of the facility and all of our questions and concerns were addressed.

The rooms are very nice, the facility is very clean, the staff is super friendly, and the food is good. They also make an effort to arrange activities residents want to participate in. We are still adjusting and getting familiar with routines, but overall we really like the facility.

Overall experience has been great. Staff is so nice. Our only problem was staff turnover. Having a number to the main staff to not getting texts back because we didn't know she was no longer there. Just need to visit more often to keep up with staff changes. Activities have been great and as what we have seen the food was good. Happy to see they serve cranberry juice with every meal.

Disappointed

When the management changed so did the quality of care . The nursing staff was awful and the cleanliness went down hill . The place started smelling like a nursing home .

Room for improvement

The lady at the front desk was often visibly asleep when i visited. My stepfather moved out of the building right past the front desk and wasn't questioned when he said he was going home. He left without seeing anyone, and had no medication. The nursing staff was great. The accommodation was excellent. He was involved in no activities, which was disappointing and had no reason to want to remain.

Room for improvement.

When it comes to the staff there are two fee and the rating for the value for cost depends on what you're looking for. If you want a place where you can drop off and forget, it's a great value. If you're concern is care, not so much.
