CriticalRecently toured this facility and was less then impressed with staff and overall moral. We were most interesting in seeing the memory care- It seemed more as if they were monitoring the room then participated with residents that remained (some were on a field trip). Very little staff around at noon. I didn’t see or meet a nurse. One employee was mopping the dining room, never spoke with us and didn’t seem friendly. I had heard good things of the expansive facility and was disappointed. Didn’t even really get a tour…

PositiveStaff was very friendly and helpful. [name removed] provided all the information we needed and was very pleasant. The facility was very nice and well kept.
★★★★★
PositiveFriendliness of staff and other residents. In-laws meeting new people and making new friends. They are out and about more and watching less TV.
★★★★★
PositiveThe facility was immaculate, light and airy. The residents were cheerful and friendly. [Name Removed] was a gracious host. It struck me that all the residents and employees greeted her. [Name Removed] took time on a Sunday afternoon to show the facility of which she is very proud. The dining room was spacious and welcoming.

CriticalA more focused "buddy" system would help. Having a resident show my brother around the first few days was helpful, but more encouragement to try out activities or use the bus for shopping might have lessened his isolation. They may have tried, but his first inclination is to refuse. He did respond if someone needed help. He is now moving to Memory Care and I hope he will be able to adjust to that situation and that the promised activities will take place.
★★★★★
PositiveMy Dad is happy and healthy and enjoys himself. I could not be more satisfied.
