Excellent communication and responsiveness. Willing to work with some limitations related to resident. Very happy with staff. The only challenge is the cost of “extras” which can add up fast.

Staff is lovely and accommodating

It's been great. My aunt is not wanting to participate or go to DR for any meals but I have no real complaints. If she would cooperate they would get her out of bed for meals. Staff is all lovely. Thank you

I visited this facility

I toured Brookdale Hockessin. The facility looked very clean. The people seemed very nice. She showed me the various activities that they have. The outside setting was nice. I saw a one-bedroom, and that was more than adequate. However, it offered a lot of services that my mother didn't need, and the monthly cost is way out of her monthly income. I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My mother-in-law is a resident of Brookdale Hockessin. They have had so much turnover. They have no director now. They fired everyone, and they hired everyone, and everyone they hired didn't know what the other was doing. It's just a mess up there. My mother-in-law gets very little assistance. They raise the prices and still don't deliver what they say they're going to. Thank God I live around the corner. We can go up and make sure she's clean and out of bed. It's awful. It's horr…

Family experience

When it comes to the value for cost we have nothing to compare against. However, what we do like the most about Brookdale Hockessin is that it is small only 54 rooms, easy to get around and staff is very friendly. Could work on cleaning and improving food quality. Yes, we would recommend this community to other families.
