I found a place for my brother-in-law at Fairwinds - Rio Rancho. He will be moving to their independent living section. I chose it for him because it's closer to me, and it also has everything we need. We toured the place, and everybody's so helpful. The dining room is really nice and pretty. My parents' experience in Fairwinds - Rio Rancho has been very good. They love the activities. The residents are lively. It's one of those places that every time you go in, something is going on. There are people around. It isn't quiet. They really enjoy the food. They've been happy. They have a gym with regular classes, games, happy hours, and they bring in performers. Very nice facility. I especially liked the bistro. It was well stocked and active. Fairwinds is currently at 100 % capacity, so it is best to get on the waitlist soon.

Protect your valuables. LOCK THEM UP and install a security camera if you are renting at the Fairwinds Rio Rancho facility in NM. Locking your unit, doesn't prevent theft. My mom lost a sweater jacket, silver bracelet, two wine glasses, a door decoration and, $200 in cash taken from her wallet in her file cabinet, before we put a lock on it. Between move out days, when the unit was unattended, but locked, multiple bottles of liquor already packed in boxes were taken. Management suggested that if someone wants …

The independent living community at Fairwinds in Rio Rancho is very friendly. They have a knowledgeable staff, and the woman who gave us the tour was very friendly and knowledgeable, as well. The facility itself was very well-kept and had a lot of good points to it. It was one of the few places that had a spa. Most places have a beauty shop and a barbershop, but this also has a massage room and a manicure place where you get your nails done. The food we had there was very good.
