I was a resident of Golden Pond Retirement Community. The food was okay. I didn't eat in the cafeteria much because you had to pay for your meals. I cooked in my room and I had a full kitchen, so I was able to cook there. The rooms were nice and I had an updated room when I moved in. The staff was good. The facility was very clean. Once a week on Friday, they had what we called a happy hour and they would have entertainment come in. It was usually music, and then they would have cocktails and orders. And that&…

I am very appreciative and thankful for the care my mother received at Golden Pond last year. Everyone was cheerful, kind and very attentive to her needs. While the last year of her life wasn't easy, living at Golden Pond definitely made things better. I highly recommend Golden Pond.

I visited this facility

Yesterday, we visited Golden Pond Retirement Community. It is multi-level. I believe they have independent living, assisted living, and memory care. There are two facilities. One runs into another in the hallway, but they are separate as far as assisted living and independent living. I loved the two-bedroom suite. It had two bathrooms, two bedrooms and a living room, and a full kitchen. It was awesome. There's a dining room. And the way they're pricing is because it has the full cooking facilities in each…

Okay community, not the right fit for us.

Not a corporate environment - A more personal and homey feel

Overall, I've been very satisfied with the care and the facilities. The staff is wonderful. There's one caregiver in particular who is always cheerful when she comes in, she gives compliments, and she knows the little things. She really paid attention to some of the décor in my loved one's apartment and related, "Oh, I have this pattern." She does extra little steps, like one time she took the laundry basket from me and finished up folding the last little bit of laundry. The staff just love my dad in general. He's …

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

Golden Pond always puts the welfare of their residents first. The GP response to the COVID-19 outbreak has been exemplary, with excellent communication to families. The caregivers have made my mother’s experience much brighter, even in these times.
