Beg bugs, lack of communication, terrible food

My mom has lived at Grace Village in assisted-living for about three years. The food is barely edible, has high sodium, is mostly canned food full of preservatives. I haven’t seen any fresh fruit or vegetables unless canned. They have had bedbugs three different times in the last two years. It’s happening there now. My mom was moved to a different room almost 2 weeks ago, but nobody will tell us when her room will be ready for her return. They moved her without letting her take any of her belongings, the chair in …

Something for everyone!

I came to Grace Village after I toured the facility and viewed all my options. I loved the 6,000 book library and media collection. I was amazed that there was a full time art instructor and dedicated Art room for the ARTcare program. A media viewing and game room was a plus. During the week residents can play a variety of table games with groups or work puzzles of all sizes. Grace Village has daily spiritually encouraging opportunities as well as chapel services. They accommodate meals for the visiting families of residents.

Extended family gather here for special days like birthdays, Mother’s Day, Easter, Thanksgiving, New Years, etc. it is very affordable, delicious, accommodating time wise, and lets family join the resident(s) who has a harder time getting out. There’s no standing around and waiting for reservations or open tables as at a restaurant.

Caring & Personable

My father and mother have lived in three facets of Grace Village since 2013. They lived in a beautiful condo for a few years, and then Mom became ill and lived in Healthcare before her death in 2017. Dad lives in Independent Living now in a 2 bedroom apartment. He thoroughly enjoys playing pool, going places on the bus, playing bingo, playing euchre, and all of the activities Grace offers their residents. The food is good and he appreciates the variety! Highly recommend.

Love Grace Village

We’ve lived at Grace Village for over 13 years. We enjoy the activities, and eating in the dining room. The Chapel is a great blessing. But best of all are our neighbors and the staff who have become wonderful friends.
