CriticalMy Helmsly House
They just hired two people to run the activities department. Cleanlinesl is outstanding, I have a studio apartment, storage is the only thing I would like more of. Also they take all prescription meds and all over the counter things. You can only have a microwave and a keurig coffee maker. No toaster or toaster oven. It has a refrigerator and sink and small counter It has two cabinets and three drawers for utensils, The bathroom has a shower stall and is a nice size.

Went in on Friday of Labor Day weekend. Not sure if they were short staffed for the holiday, but my mother sat in her room the first day and no one came to get her for any meals. When we finally took her for meals, the residence would not allow her to sit at certain spots. And the staff did not address this issue. My mother lasted one week there and we took her out!

They discontinued shuttle service for medical appointments months ago & that was one of the main reasons I chose Sunrise. Also, they are selling to a new company in a month or so, so that's unnerving.

PositiveI was touring Sunrise of North Wales looking for respite care. The director I met with was very friendly and helpful. The community appears to be clean and bright. The apartment I was shown was very nice. It was spacious and looked very comfortable for a “home away from home” for a few weeks. The employees I met were all kind.

10's across the board. We've been very impressed. Whenever we stop by, without even having to ask staff tells us where our mom is. She also is in a happier place mentally. And the hair salon did an amazing job!
