Inconsistent care

I like the setting of the facility. Also they are good about scheduling the transport for her doctors appts Management is very nice, but the quality of care can be inconsistent depending on the caregiver. Some caregivers are very caring, attentive, and communicate well with residents, while others could benefit from more consistency and training when providing hands-on care. Our Mom has been as resident of Ivy Park San Juan Capistrano since 2023 after she had a stroke and became wheelchair bound. She has loved living here and we are so grateful for the support, care and patience that she receives from the tireless Ivy Park SJC care team. Ivy Park at San Juan

Activities offered are not that great, restrictive and controlling, environment, nickel, and diming you to pay for every thing extra, so many extra costs food is mediocre, somewhat boring. Help staff is very nice and friendly. good environment for those more cognitively impaired because it small and easy to navigate.

Wonderful experience!

I was the family that dropped off my uncle and just from the brief time I was there I felt that it was very pretty and welcoming upon arrival. The staff were very kind and the location was perfect for his needs. His apartment and set up was also perfect!

They run short staffed at times, but the staff that's there are mostly good. Location and cost stuck out over other places.

Excellent care

The staff and nurse have accommodated us recently through a cognitive episode my Mother went through for 4 weeks. Yes, there was a cost impact because they had to escalate their care for my Mother, but they were very helpful and understanding through the process.
